A giant painted white face with a third eye. The face is wearing a headpiece with several eyes mounted round the top.

By day, The Argus, a colossal stone head, silently bears witness to humanity’s actions with a perplexed, yet amused gaze. At night it becomes something more, attempting to mirror back to humans the enormity of what it has seen. It paints itself with color and motion as humans come from across the globe to experience it. To them it is a miracle, beyond understanding.
Like many of us, The Argus finds two eyes inadequate in comprehending the vastness of the human experience. A third eye emerges, and with it, the hope of enhanced understanding, and a new ability to communicate.

The Argus learns, but its expanded wisdom remained as jumbled, but also as beautiful, as it has always been. It feels disappointment at it’s inability to better communicate, not realizing that the feeling is deeply human and a sign of progress.
One night, it notices a human gazing it in a way none has before. Instead of confusion, The Argus sees understanding. This human is connected. For its eternity, The Argus has practiced compassion for humans and now, it knows it has been right to do so. The Argus has learned to communicate.
Only a select few begin to understand The Argus as it has long attempted to understand them, and only they can understand it not as a miracle, but as a being speaking directly to them.
These connected people bring friends and family to The Argus every night at midnight in an attempt to connect with it and with each other. Each night, that understanding grows.
