In the late 90s, my very first public art installation was a 12’ diameter faux birthday cake for Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC). The cake was installed on a tall pedestal via a helicopter on Fire Island to the joy of thousands. With that, my intention to bring community together over art was cemented.
Since then, I have exhibited widely at over 50 festivals, exhibits, and conferences such as Burning Man, Maker Faire, FITC, and the O+ Festival.
My practice has expanded to integrate science and technology drawing from my background and love for electricity. I work with environmental sensors, Geiger counters, ice, and invisible signals of all kinds to reveal hidden forces and connections, creating fun experiences that evoke reflection and a sense of connection to each other.
