The LoveDome is an immersive experience inside of a draped fabric space for explorers looking to connect with their own body in a calming environment. Inside the space is a sculpture with a heartbeat sensor. Using the sensor triggers a deep subwoofer heartbeat sound and LED lights that beat to the explorer’s heartbeat. The LoveDome allows the explorer to feel their own heartbeat outside of their body and connect with their internal rhythms in a visceral way.
Using biofeedback, the user can modulate their own heartbeat. Many thousands of people have interacted with this public art installation and it has been exhibited at seven festivals around the USA! Funded by a grant from Guerilla Science and the Pratt Institute.
